Leap

By Susan Liddy

"What we hope ever to do with ease, we must learn first to do with diligence." Samuel Johnson

I have a dream. I have a dream and I'm going to share it with you. My dream is to one day strap myself to a parachute and skydive out of an airplane. Do I need to describe the rush of fear that just overcame my body or can you imagine it? Want to join the fun? Answer this question: What is your dream? Now picture it in your mind. See yourself doing it. Now say your dream out loud. Say, I have a dream and my dream is... Did you get the rush? Are you with me? What you just did was take three small steps to make your dream come true and if you felt the rush, trust me, the dream will be well worth it.

Freedom

By Susan Liddy

"While we have the gift of life, it seems to me the only tragedy is to allow part of us to die whether it is our spirit, our creativity or our glorious uniqueness." Gilda Radner

In our busy lives, we seldom take time to let our inner creativity flow and we are so busy nurturing and caring for others that we forget what makes us unique and special. Releasing our creativity is a wonderful way to celebrate our uniqueness and move beyond the rational barriers that adult life keeps in place.

Bliss Recipe

By Laura Rice

How do you know when you are following your bliss? You may have an idea of what your bliss might be. If not, try thinking about it this way: it is the thing that you think about doing that makes you feel the most exited and the most afraid all at once. It’s uncomfortable to think about it, but deep down you know that part of you might die if you don’t try.

Most of the time, when we think about the word "trust," our relationships with other people come to mind. Who do you trust? Your mom? Your husband? Your best friend? Why do you trust that person? It is because you have come to rely and depend on them, right? They make good on their promises to you. They keep your secrets. They can be counted on to behave toward you in a loving, caring and supportive manner.

Aids Marathon

Not only is running a marathon an adventure you can also "give back" by participating in a marathon training program fundraiser. Karin trained for and ran the 2006 San Francisco Marathon on July 30, 2006!

This marathon was not only a personal, long time goal for Karin, it is also for a good cause! More than one million Americans, and 40 million others around the world, are living with HIV -- the virus that causes AIDS. With more than 20 million deaths so far, AIDS is now the leading cause of death among all people aged 15 to 59 worldwide. This is why we are proud to proclaim Karin as an aspiring women!
