Susan Liddy founded Aspire Life Coaching^TM in 2004 as a way to accomplish her life's passion to empower women (without demeaning men). Her approach to life coaching is based on the belief that what stands between individuals and the life they desire is fear. Having had a "relationship" with fear for a lot of her life, Susan understands the courage, determination and support needed to work through fears such as failing, embarrassment, not feeling smart enough, or not having enough time and money. She has spent considerable time and effort to remove the power fear had over her life. It is now her life mission to enable others to do the same.

Susan has a Masters Degree (MA) in Counseling Psychology from the Graduate School of Professional Psychology at JFK University where she completed a 1000 hour supervised practicum with clients. She received her coach training and Certified Professional CoActive Coach (CPCC) certification from the Coaches Training Institute and earned the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential from the International Coach Federation.

Susan's prior employment includes over a decade of managing and mentoring individuals and project teams in corporate Silicon Valley. She has held titles as Department Manager and Senior Project Manager at top corporations such as Synopsys, Inc., Novell, Inc., Intecom, Inc.. Susan is a talented project manager and team leader who blends together her education and experience as a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern to provide you with a comprehensive, inspiring, and action oriented life coaching experience.

Susan is a member of top coaching and counseling organizations such as the International Coach Federation, the Silicon Valley Coach Federation, and the American Counseling Association. As a member she has pledged to uphold the highest standard of ethics and accountability in her coaching practice.

Susan Liddy, the woman

Susan spends most of her personal time engaged in writing, yoga, ballet, hiking and running. She enjoys drawing and typically has one or two collages in the making. Weekend mornings are for sleeping in, having coffee at local cafes, visits to local farmer's markets or leisurely strolls through the surrounding hills.

Susan lives in the San Francisco Bay Area where she is blessed by an extended network of family and friends. She and her boyfriend, Matt, often spend weekends exploring for places to hike, rock climb, antique shop or simply enjoy nature. Susan cherishes time with her nieces, Autumn and Emilee, and nephews, Tyler and Nolan and maintains a loving friendship with her former in-laws, Tom, Joanne, Sharon and Jody, and Mike, her former husband of 13 years. Although raised in upstate New York, the rest of Susan's family live in Atlanta, Georgia and include a mom, dad, step-mom, three sisters and a brother.

Susan lives with Rudy, her six pound chihuahua who found her several years ago. Rudy has become well known with Susan's local clients and is always ready to offer an extra snuggle when needed.

In 2006 Susan made a life long dream come true when she leased two horses at a local stable. Mucking horse manure, cleaning hoofs, grooming and English riding lessons soon became part of her regular routine! Another dream come true was her trip to Costa Rica where she learned to surf, saw monkeys in their natural environment and spent time experiencing another culture of people. Her list of "dreams come true" include her work empowering women through the groundbreaking programs she enjoys developing.

Susan's dream list includes more international travel, sky diving (can you say "fear"?), hot air ballooning, learning to water color, publishing a New York Times Best Seller and a guest appearance on Oprah. In addition to living a FABulous today, she plans to make these dreams come true in the future. She feels blessed to live a life of her dreams and is proud to have created a career and a business designed to support other women to do the same!
